A quote from one of the great figures of the 20th Century.
Hi Brian,
Let me know what your initial investment was and we’ll subtract it. I’ll
refer to my records over the next day or two but I think it was around 320
euro. This investment was intended so we could setup the company and find
work for all parties concerned. I have not acted in bad faith over the past
few months and have given you many chances to meet me to discuss this issue.
To date I’ve found suitable work for everybody that paid the initial setup
fee, including yourself. However, the other parties have not behaved
similarly. I have several emails from you where you apologise for not
returning calls, emails and completing work. Therefore, I will have to
accept that you fully realised at the time that this was unprofessional.
The reason I didn’t refund the initial setup fee back was that you were
still a subcontractor for Gaisan and were involved in the company. If you
had other intentions you failed to inform me of them via email. If you look
through your email records you will see that I recently offered you 1000
euro to complete work on the SecureNetworks project. This work is
outstanding. It was understood and clearly stated that we would not be paid
for the Secure Networks project unless the software worked and met
specification.
It is regrettable that it took a highly direct email to elicit a response. I
also note that your response offers no explanation for your actions. May I
recommend that in future, if you find yourself in a similar situation you
make every effort to remedy the situation in a courteous and professional
manner?
Yours faithfully,
…shane

Hi Brian,
Just to let you know. I’m still trying to remedy brian carroll’s problems
but a solution doesn’t look likely. I’ve got to be very honest and tell you
that I’m dissatisfied with you for not getting back in touch with me over
the past few weeks. I feel that this was quite unprofessional as you must
realise that I’m under a good deal of pressure and needed your assistance. I
sincerely regret not being able to work with you on the other projects that
Gaisan has completed over the past few months but I contacted you in almost
every case to secure your involvement.
I realise that you did work on the Secure Networks project but I’m going to
have to pay Brian a full refund which will cost me over 3000 euro. As I paid
you 400 euro with the understanding that you would complete your work on the
project. You have failed to do this and also delayed my plans by committing
to resolving problems and then failing to do so. I fail to understand why
you have adopted this approach and you have resisted all attempts by me to
meet in person to discuss this issue. I cannot think of anything I have done
to precipitate this behavior on your part so I’d welcome an explanation.
I must ask for the amount paid of 400 euro back. Please contact me
immediately to arrange repayment. Thanks in advance.
Sincerest regards,
…shane
