Hi all,
It’s looking increasingly unlikely
here.. I’m under huge pressure at the moment & I can’t
realistically work any harder or even smarter
😉
If I abandon everything to do this report
I’ll end up having to leave the programme because of lack of cashflow
& I’ll also end up losing new business
I know that I’m not the only person
in this situation. (Which is looking very lucrative so I can’t do that) It’s
a catch-22 situation really)
Conan: Have you contacted Eugene to inform him that your plan will be
late? I’m going to have to do it today.
regards,
…shane

info about waterford data centre?
Hi,
I represent a new software company in the South East of Ireland called
Gaisan Technologies. I’m currently enrolled on the South East Enterprise
Platform Programme (www.seepp.ie) and we’re looking to develop a business
selling innovative information lifecycle management products to Irish SME’s.
I’ve been informed by a colleague in TSSG/Waterford Institute of Technology
that e-net will be operating a data centre in the Waterford area. If this is
the case we’d like to buy rackspace in such a facility to fullfill our data
storage requirements. I’d be very interested in discussing your hosting
facilities and costs as soon as possible.
Sincerest regards,
shane

Subject: new projects & registering for VAT
Hi guys,
I’ve just gotten another project that we could work on. Another WIT jobbie..
Money is not an issue & they’ll pay professional rates..
The following websites need redesigns
– www.ist-securist.org (needs a complete redesign including work on the logo
to make it more like http://www.ist-daidalos.org) We can use mambo and our
site’s “secure area” should use a themed version of moregroupware… located
@ www.moregroupware.org / http://mgw.k-fish.de/
– http://www.securitytaskforce.org/
Which should be redesigned to look like
http://www.eu.ipv6tf.org/in/i-index.php as far as I know.. Again we should
use moregroupware, mambo and do whatever design work we like, modifying the
logo that’s there to make it look more professional. I’ll get more details
of content later…
They need most of the work done on each site within the next 3 weeks.
We can charge our usual, including the magic gaisan 10% 😀
That means that we’re going to charge them a minimum of 1.5 grand/week +
addition design costs (logo revisions etc.) for the exercise. I’m recruiting
a few more people at the moment to ease the workload. For some reason we’re
getting a lot of work recently. Could be me banging on doors but who knows?
Also, just thinking about this. Are you both registered for VAT? If we
ignore the contract with Brian Carroll/SecureNetworks for a second where I
realise that Brian White would probably prefer to receive cash it would be
much better in the long run if everybody were registered for VAT as sole
traders. You could legitimately claim VAT back on a whole range of
electronic goods and I won’t get investigated by the revenue commissioners
for paying you.
You can find out more information by reading
http://www.revenue.ie/services/bus_start4.htm#1
and http://www.revenue.ie/services/foi/s16_2001/VAT_reg1.pdf
Returns can now be filed electronically @ http://www.ros.ie
Let me know what you think. It’s minimal work for a sole trader & you could
use my accountant if you needed some advice. Give me a call at some stage
today about this issue, OK?
regards,
…shane
