the problem with brian

Hi Jerry,
Here’s a summary of Brian’s problems.
We’ve a camera server set up on port 9000. This doesn’t seem to be
accessible through secure HTTP for some reason. I’ve enabled a NAT
passthrough on the wireless router for port 443 (works) and port 9000
(doesn’t seem to) I know it’s not working as the camera server isn’t
generating any trace when I try to connect to the stream over the internet.
I’m beginning to wonder if there’s a firewall blocking port 9000 as I can
connect to that port from the box itself, just not from any other machine on
it’s local network or over the internet (despite the NAT mapping). It’s a
bit of a pain in the arse to be honest..

The wireless router details are
IP: http://213.190.145.109/
Username: superuser
Password: test060305

The server details are
IP: 213.190.145.109
Username: root
Password: test060305

The camera details are

username: testuser
password: testuser

Let me know what you come up with.

Sincerest regards,

…shane

securist & securitytaskforce websites

Hi guys,
Just talked to WIT about the SecurIST and SecurityTaskForce websites.
They’re being difficult about this and demanding that the websites be done
by the end of next week. This is an urgent requirement. Therefore I’d ask
everybody to drop me a quick email (cc’ed to everybody else) telling me what
they’ve done and what remains to be done on each site. I have good reason to
believe that WIT will fail to pay or lower their fee if we don’t deliver
within this time.

Ciaran could you please send me the link for your latest version of the
SecurIST site. Brian & Willie, can you get some work done on the
SecurityTaskForce site as soon as Calmast is put to bed.

The animator has sent me our calmast animation but it has a problem with it.

They used the wrong logo. Still it’s pretty cool. See the results @
www.gaisan.com/sdempsey/flash/calmast.swf . I’m fixing it at the moment.

I’ve also placed a timesheet spreadsheet in this directory. I want you guys
to keep track of the hours that you work on the project (as I’m sure you’re
doing) and fill in this form when you’re finished. This is available @
http://www.gaisan.com/sdempsey/timesheet_template.xls The rate shown is 40
euro/hour. The actual rate will probably be between 30 & 40, depending on
whether we deliver what was promised on-time and get paid accordingly. Some
of these are fixed price projects and therefore I have to work towards a
budget which includes everything from animation & logo design to office
supplies etc.

I can’t emphasise enough that I need everybody to get in contact with me if
there’s a problem in meeting a deadline or meeting any requirement. We’ve
got 2 unhappy customers now and we’re going to charge them thousands for
websites. As the expression goes “that’s no way to run a railroad”. Most
disconcertinly, WIT have 2 other projects which are even larger that they
may offer to us but are using these delays as a bargaining position.
Therefore I’d urge everybody to work as hard as possible over the next few
days to ensure we get these projects in before the end of next week.

Sincerest regards,

…shane
